VIM: The Black Girl Collective is a social experiences brand creating elevated, intentional spaces for Black and mixed-race women in their 20s, 30s and 40s to feel seen, celebrated and genuinely connected.
Founded in Manchester, VIM has grown into a UK-wide and expanding international community of over 20,000 girlies across our mailing list and social platforms, bringing Black and mixed-race women together through signature socials, dinner parties and experience-led events centred around connection, culture, music and Black girl joy.
With 90% of our girlies attending solo, VIM creates welcoming, feel good spaces where you can meet the girlies who just get it, make genuine connections and create unforgettable memories.
What We Do:

Why It Matters:
Finding your people as an adult can be hard. For Black and mixed-race women, there aren’t always enough spaces where you can simply show up, feel comfortable and meet the girlies who just get it.
VIM was created to change that.
We believe friendship, connection and joy shouldn’t be something you have to wait for or figure out alone. VIM gives women a space to meet new people, try new things, create memories and feel part of something bigger.
Because sometimes, you just want to be around the girlies who just get it. 🤍
Meet the Founder
Hey, I’m Ruwaydah, founder of VIM: The Black Girl Collective.
I created VIM to build something real, a space where Black and mixed-race women can meet the girlies who just get it, make new connections and create lasting memories. I host and curate VIM’s socials, bringing the community together through experiences centred around connection, culture, music and Black girl joy.
Alongside VIM, I’m a content creator who works with global brands on social media.
